A medical second opinion.
From a specialist in China.

Already have a diagnosis or treatment plan? We help you arrange a medical records review, receive a written specialist opinion and, if needed, discuss it by video.

How it works

Start from overseas · English-speaking coordination · No obligation to travel

When another view may help

A diagnosis. A proposed treatment.
Questions you still want to ask.

A second opinion gives you another specialist’s perspective on a specific medical question.

01

Before a major decision

You have been advised to have surgery or another treatment and want to discuss the options with a second specialist.

02

When opinions differ

You have received different recommendations, or have questions about an existing diagnosis and the next step.

03

Before arranging travel

You are considering care in China and want to understand whether an in-person assessment may be useful first.

Start with a written review

Your records.
Your questions.
A specialist’s opinion.

A written medical second opinion gives you a report to read in your own time and share with your treating doctor.

What the review can cover

  • Questions about the existing diagnosis and the records supporting it
  • The proposed treatment and other options the specialist considers relevant
  • Further records, tests or an examination needed to answer your question
  • A written opinion to discuss with your current medical team

The reviewing clinician decides what can be answered from your records. We agree the review scope with you before booking.

Know what you are booking

We confirm the specialist and institution, report language, required records, expected turnaround and total fees, including any agreed translation.

Optional video consultation

Talk through the opinion
with the specialist.

If you would like a conversation as well as a written review, ask whether a video discussion can be arranged. Prepare your questions in advance and clarify the points that matter to you.

We check the clinician’s availability, your location, time zone and language needs. The provider confirms whether video is appropriate and how it fits into the review.

From your first question to the report

How a remote second opinion works.

  1. 01

Tell us what you want reviewed

Start with a brief enquiry, the patient’s current country or region, and the main question. Please leave medical records and sensitive details out of the initial form.

  2. 02

    Confirm the arrangements

We check the receiving provider’s requirements and discuss the specialist, records, report language, timeframe and fees. You receive instructions for the agreed records-submission route.

  3. 03

    Receive the written specialist opinion

The clinician reviews the accepted records and provides the agreed written opinion. We coordinate the practical communication and any agreed translation.

  4. 04

    Discuss the next step

Share the report with your treating doctor. An optional video discussion or further clarification can be arranged where available; any additional scope and fees are agreed first.

Prepare for a medical records review

What should I prepare
for a second opinion?

The provider will give you a case-specific list. These are common starting points to gather from your current medical team.

We explain which documents are needed and how to submit them after checking your enquiry.

Before you book

Questions about
remote second opinions.

Availability depends on your location, the specialty and the receiving provider’s requirements.

What is a medical second opinion?

A second opinion is another doctor's assessment of an existing diagnosis or treatment plan. The specialist reviews the records accepted for assessment and may agree with the current plan, explain alternatives or recommend further evaluation. You can share the written opinion with your treating doctor.

Can I get a second opinion without travelling to China?

A remote medical records review may be possible without travelling. We first check your current location, the specialty, the available records and the receiving clinician's requirements. Some questions need an examination or further tests before an opinion can be given.

Who reviews my medical records?

Clinical review is carried out by the appropriately licensed specialist through the receiving medical institution. Before you book, we confirm the proposed specialist, institution and scope of the review. ConciergeCareBridge coordinates the request and communication; we do not diagnose conditions or write the specialist's medical conclusions.

Will I receive an English written report?

We confirm the report language before you book. Where the specialist issues the opinion in Chinese, agreed English translation can be arranged. We also clarify the report format and whether follow-up questions are included in the quote.

Can I add a video consultation with the specialist?

You can ask for an optional video consultation to discuss the review and your questions. Availability depends on the clinician, your location and the provider's process. The timing, language support and additional fee, if any, are agreed before booking.

How much does a second opinion cost, and how long does it take?

The specialty, number of records, translation work and any video discussion affect the quote. We confirm the clinical fee, coordination and language-support fees, expected turnaround and cancellation terms before you book. The review timetable starts when the receiving provider has accepted the required records.

Which medical conditions can I ask about?

You can enquire about an existing diagnosis or proposed treatment in areas such as cancer care, cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics or other specialties. We check whether a suitable specialist and remote review pathway are available for your particular question. The receiving clinician confirms whether a remote review can answer your question.

Does this replace my local doctor or include a prescription?

Continue your ongoing care with your treating clinician. A second opinion offers another specialist perspective and does not replace an examination or urgent care when needed. Prescribing and use of recommendations depend on the clinician's authorisation and rules where you are; a second opinion does not automatically include a prescription you can use in your country.

Do I have to arrange treatment in Beijing afterwards?

No. You can seek a written second opinion as a standalone service and discuss it with your local doctor. If you later decide to explore care in Beijing, we can separately help with hospital appointments and practical visit arrangements.

Your next step

Ask about a written second opinion.

Tell us where the patient is and what you would like reviewed. We’ll follow up to discuss whether a specialist review can be arranged.

ConciergeCareBridge provides independent coordination and communication support. Medical opinions are provided by the reviewing clinicians through their medical institutions. This service is not for emergencies.
